Lighting strikes a house in Rapid City

This home was not properly grounded. During a lightning storm this last spring the house was struck on the gas line which an caught on fire. The fire than went down the line and started a burn in the basement. The fire melted the main water line and caused a flood in the basement it also put the fire out. SERVPRO of Rapid City was on the scene fast and was able to clean up all the smoke damage and burn materials. We were also able to dray the carpet and the walls out with our state of the art equipment.
